Former India cricketer, Irfan Pathan recently was in limelight with his recent revelations in an interview with The Lallantop. While he made shocking remarks around his ever-going controversy involving
Shahid Afridi, he also dropped a bombshell on why he was barred from Indian Premier League (IPL) commentary stint.
During the same interview with renowned Saurabh Dwivedi, the former India all-rounder was also asked if he will walk in the footsteps off his elder brother Yusuf Pathan and join politics. It is to be noted that Yusuf Pathan joined politics in 2024 and went on to win from the Baharampur Lok Sabha seat in West Bengal’s Murshidabad district for the Trinamool Congress.

When inquired around the same, the former Indian all-rounder quickly replied, “Aapko lagta hai aana chahiye? (Do you think I should join?)” He then went onto to elaborate, stating, “Mai jo bhi karonga apni zindagi mein… aage jaa ke ya abhi hamesha difference paida karne ke liye karoonga aur agar nahi kar paya toh nahi karoonga (Whatever I do in my life - whether now or in the future - I will always do it to make a difference.
