Truth be told, Max Verstappen is tenacious. Attacking. One of a kind. And when it comes to racing at the Circuit of The Americas in Austin, Texas, he has shown just how good he can be.
Four wins at the
United States Grand Prix at Austin. Just one shy of Lewis Hamilton’s five. Isn’t it a record that tells us something about the Dutchman’s ability to deliver when the pressure is on?
Actually, Verstappen has won three consecutive races at COTA between 2021 and 2023 before returning to the top step of the podium in 2025. That’s quite a record, isn’t it?
And here’s another interesting point. He has three more wins at this circuit than Charles Leclerc and Kimi Raikkonen, who have won once each. Sebastian Vettel, too, has one Austin victory, which came in 2013.
Fernando Alonso, on the other hand, is yet to win at this circuit. Strange, isn’t it, considering the Spaniard’s experience and longevity in Formula 1?

So, what does Austin hold for Verstappen this time around?
Can he make it five victories and draw level with Hamilton? Or will the seven-time World Champion continue to remain the benchmark at this circuit?
One thing is certain. You can never quite write off Max Verstappen, can you?
This forthcoming race shall serve, yet again, a great chance for the committed Red Bull figurehead in the four wheels to strut his stuff. He’s one of a kind and, the Dutchman is, quite simply, in a league of his own.
For someone who can race the wheels of an F1 car despite not being paired with the best possible machinery- as has been the case for a large part of 2026- what Max has done is sensational, already.
He won at Singapore. Something he had never done previously. He saw the Zandvoort race going out of his hand. But instead of succumbing to despair, he bounced back.
Can he pick up an ace of a win in what lies ahead at the famed Austin, Texas-bound US GP.
