smiling in a hotel room, phone held up for a selfie, while a big TV screen behind them showed the West Indies batting against India in the first ODI of the series back home.
Ishan put out a video and showed how even the players in Japan were struggling to catch the live action and had to improvise with a YouTube stream. In reality, it was not an official live broadcast of the match at all.

What they were watching was one of those popular YouTube streams where gamers simulate the contest on cricket video games, and put real-time score updates and graphics to keep things feeling current. The scoreboard at that stage read West Indies 161 for 1 after 27.5 overs, with Justin Greaves well set.

No actual match footage, just the numbers ticking over and the digital players going through the motions. The two left-handers could not stop laughing about the whole setup and the video quickly went viral on social media. Fans immediately started commenting desi jugaad and it was a funny video from the left-hander.
Virat Kohli smashes 55th ODI century as India beat West Indies
West Indies were asked to bat first after India won the toss at the Greenfield International Stadium in Thiruvananthapuram. The visitors made a flying start, with openers John Campbell and Justin Greaves putting on 135 runs.
The right hander went on to score a maiden ODI century, finishing with 101 off 108 balls, while Campbell scored 62. Keacy Carty and captain Shai Hope could not build on the platform, and the innings began to stall once Kuldeep Yadav entered the attack. The left-arm wrist spinner claimed four wickets for 40 runs, including Greaves, Hope and the dangerous Jewel Andrew in quick succession.
Amir Jangoo’s unbeaten 58 provided some late resistance, helping West Indies reach a competitive 295 for 7. India’s chase began steadily with Rohit Sharma making 32 before falling, after which captain Shubman Gill and Virat Kohli took complete control. The Indian captain notched his tenth ODI hundred, and Kohli brought up his 55th century as the pair adding a substantial partnership that put the required rate well under control. India chased down the target comfortably with eight wickets spare and took a 1-0 lead in the ODI series.
