In one of the most unusual cricket scenarios the Mississauga Masters chased down 100 runs in just 4.2 overs. The incident unfolded in the sixth clash of the tournament where the Masters batted first and
put up 99 runs on the board with the loss of eight wickets.
The rivals prompted a batting collapse and picked wickets successively to restrict their counterparts below the 100-run mark. Richard Gleeson ended with the figures of 3/11 while David Wiese registered 3/29, while Zahid Shirzad picked one wicket for the side.
On the Warriors side, Prabhpreet Bhullar finished as the highest scorer with 23 runs, with a combination of one boundary and three maximums. Skipper Dwaine Pretorius added 22 runs on the board with 11 balls. Apart from them, a total of five players could manage to add single-digit scores in the total.

Mississauga Masters chase down 100 runs in 26 deliveries, record nine-wicket win
In return, the Masters went all guns blazing and stole victory from their rivals within no time. After a flop show with the bat in the first innings, the Warriors hoped to make a comeback in the second, but their rivals made sure they didn’t stand a chance.
The Mississauga batters made a mockery of the chase as they completed the game within 26 deliveries. Though the Warriors almost had thought that they had clawed back into the game with the wicket of Colin Munro on a golden duck, what unfolded ahead was unexpected.
Alex Less and George Munsey unleashed powerful knocks and while Less registered his fifty, the latter added 30 runs on the board. Both batters showered boundaries and sixes, and chased down the total in just 26 deliveries. Notably, Less hit five boundaries and six maximums during his knock of 59* runs, while Munsey hit two boundaries and three maximums.
As the game made headlines all over the internet, fans couldn’t help but notice how small the boundaries were. In a video posted on X, Richard Gleeson could be seen starting his run-up from the boundary line, raising questions over the kind of cricket being played. However, the boundaries were short because the venue, BC Place, is a rectangular stadium in Vancouver, designed to play football and major events.
