Ibrahim Zadran was not left out of India’s celebrations, inviting him to join the Indian team for a photograph.
The moment came after India completed a dominant victory in the third and final T20I at the Arun Jaitley Stadium. While the Indian players gathered together with the trophy to celebrate their series win, Zadran was seen away from the group.
Kishan noticed the Afghanistan skipper and gestured towards him, asking him to come over and be part of the picture. Shreyas Iyer was also seen encouraging Zadran to join the Indian players, resulting in a lovely moment between the two teams.
The gesture quickly caught the attention of cricket fans on social media, with many praising Kishan and Iyer for putting the competitive nature of the game aside and ensuring that the Afghanistan captain was part of the celebrations.

The moment also reminded fans of a similar incident involving former India captain Ajinkya Rahane.
During Afghanistan’s first-ever Test match against India in Bengaluru in 2018, Rahane had invited Afghanistan players to join India for a photograph after the historic match. It was a memorable gesture that reflected the warm relationship between the two cricketing nations.
Years later, Kishan and Iyer appeared to recreate a similar moment with Ibrahim Zadran.
The gesture was particularly special considering that the series was billed around the spirit of friendship between India and Afghanistan. Despite the intense competition on the field, players from both teams have shared several friendly moments throughout the series.
