Former India captain Krishnamachari Srikkanth praised 15-year-old Vaibhav Sooryavanshi for his brilliant 96-run knock off 47 balls against the Gujarat Titans in Qualifier 2 of the IPL playoffs. Srikkanth was amazed at how well the teenager handled extreme pressure when his team needed him most. During his interview with PTI News, Srikkanth highlighted Vaibhav's mental toughness during that specific match against Gujarat, “If you look at that IPL innings against the Gujarat Titans, when his team was under pressure, he stayed there and produced a terrific knock.” Srikkanth pointed out that Qualifier 2 is a high-pressure environment. Most teenagers would feel nervous with a spot in the final on the line.Srikkanth was amazed by how calm Vaibhav looked.
