The 12th edition of thePro Kabaddi League (PKL) set to kickstart with a match between Telugu Titans and Patna Pirates at Rajiv Gandhi Indoor Stadium in Kochi on August 29. Notably, it is also going to be a special
occasion as there is also National Sports Day on the same date. On this special occasion, there is going to be an opening ceremony ahead of the start of PKL 2025.
During the opening ceremony, youngest sensation of IPL 2025, Vaibhav Suryavanshiwill also make his presence on the launch of Pro Kabaddi League season 12 on National Sports Day. Suryavanshi made headlines when he was picked as the youngest player in the IPL history after Rajasthan Royals acquired him for INR 1.1 Crore in the Mega auction last year at the age of just 13 years. He turned 14 by the start of IPL 2025 and became the youngest player to make a debut in the cash-rich league.
Vaibhav Suryavanshi’s memorable season in IPL 2025
After becoming the youngest player to make his IPL debut, Vaibhav Suryavanshi had a memorable outing in the 18th edition where he amassed 252 runs from seven matches at a strike rate of 206.55. This year, he also ended up scoring the second fastest hundred in IPL as he reached the triple figures in just 35 balls in a match against Gujarat Titans. Now, after a remarkable season of the IPL. Suryavanshi is set to launch the 12th edition of the Pro Kabaddi League.
The opening game of the season will be played between Telugu Titans and Tamil Thalaivas at Rajiv Gandhi Indoor Stadium in Kochi, Kerala. Both the teams are yet to win a PKL title and will be looking to get a winning start to their campaign this year.
