The team works tirelessly on their fielding standards and catching abilities and tends to put extra work on that front. Perhaps what goes to explain the above is a recent clip that was about the fielding preparations of the members of the Indian team where it comes to the white ball series against the West Indies.
This is a small clip that’s already doing rounds over social media and captures the moment of excitement and thrill where it comes to Indian captain Shubman Gill having won a fielding drill against the likes of some senior pros of the current Indian side.

As part of the protestation of the white ball one day series, which forms the first leg of the contests against the Caribbean side, the Indian team is engaging in different and arduous preparations to up their game in all departments.
One of which was this recent fielding contest that was held at the Green field international stadium at Kerala’s Thiruvananthapuram ground!
And sporting a big bright smile was none other than baptism Shubman Gill’s who couldn’t hold his excitement after his side of the players emerged on top of their other fellow countrymen in a fielding contest on the ground. The Punjab born cricketer was seen amid much glee after his team beat Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, Ruturaj, KL Rahul etc Team B in the fielding contest.
We can certainly hope to see India making its exceedingly hard for the West Indian batters to score against them and one key area in which they’ll find it hard to get going against India would be the dot ball accumulation, a lot of which is also often tied to – and could be tied to- exceptional
fielding standards. Which is what the team members are preparing specifically for!
