Former India captain and one of the greats of the game, veteran batter Virat Kohli resumed training ahead of his international return. The 36-year-old, who is currently settled in London, began his practise
as he eyes to make a return in the 50-over format. It is to be noted that Virat Kohli recently announced retirement from Test cricket and will only be seen playing the ODI format.
While there have been several talks around his and Rohit Sharma’s future in the ODIs, the 36-year-old resumed his training ahead of his comeback. Notably, the star cricketer was scheduled to return to competitive action in the white-ball leg of the Bangladesh tour, but due to the postponement of the series to September 2026, his return was delayed further.

However, the Delhi batter is set to return in Indian colours in the much-anticipated Australia series, the star batter took to his Instagram to share a picture of his training session in London on Friday, August 8. "Thanks for helping out with the hit, brother. Always lovely to see you," Kohli wrote on his Instagram story.
Virat Kohli looked in shape while he hit the nets for a brief training session, dressed in grey t-shirt and blue shorts. As seen in the picture, it looked like Kohli had an indoor training session, while sporting his grey beard look.
While he eyes his return in competitive cricket in the Australia ODI series, his last competitive appearance came on June 3 when Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) lifted their maiden Indian Premier League (IPL) title, beating Punjab Kings (PBKS) at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. Kohli hit a match-winning 43 in RCB’s victory.
