Their playing XI looks incredibly balanced, starting with explosive openers Yashasvi Jaiswal and Vaibhav Suryavanshi, who can provide solid starts. The middle order features the destructive Shimron Hetmyer, followed by captain Riyan Parag and the dependable Dhruv Jurel.
What truly strengthens this side is its bowling depth. With names like Ravindra Jadeja, Ravi Bishnoi, Nandre Burger, Jofra Archer, and Sandeep Sharma, the Royals have a potent mix of pace and spin. Add to that the advantage of playing three matches in Guwahati and four in Jaipur, and Rajasthan could quietly emerge as a top contender.
Delhi Capitals – A New-Look Unit with Match-Winners
Delhi Capitals also fall into the “dark horse” category this season. Led by Axar Patel, the team has a solid core of experienced and explosive players. The presence of KL Rahul and Prithvi Shaw at the top provides stability and aggression, while Tristan Stubbs adds firepower in the middle order.
Their bowling attack is further strengthened by the inclusion of Mitchell Starc, bringing both pace and experience. If this unit clicks collectively, Delhi Capitals could easily upset more fancied teams.
Punjab Kings – Continuity Could Be the Game-Changer
Last season’s runners-up, Punjab Kings, are surprisingly not getting the attention they deserve. One of their biggest strengths is continuity — they have largely retained their core squad without unnecessary changes. This stability means better team chemistry, clearer roles, and improved on-field understanding.
Often, teams that build consistency over time outperform those that constantly experiment. Punjab Kings seem to have found that balance, making them a serious threat once again.
