And he proved just that by actually annihilating the very opponent that had tormented his Australian side just a little under a week ago.

In taking yet another wicket in his very first over and actually that too, off the first delivery of the second test, Starc was just beginning to get into the rhythm as one saw Bangladesh seemingly getting out of it. Entirely altogether, as one later found out.

You know it’s a hard day out for your batters when your batsmen facing the first delivery of the game is out for a first ball duck. But it becomes all too embarrassing when both opening batters are out inside 7 minutes of the game having lasted just 3 deliveries. 3 in all.
But what’s remarkable about a preeminent force of Australian cricket and a legend and giant of the class to which Brett Lee and Glenn McGrath belong is the fact that at 35, he’s showing no signs of slowing down.
Off his 10 over spell, he bowled 6 maiden overs going for just 12 runs, just twelve, if you think about it while capturing 6 wickets.
In lighter vein and meaning no disregard to the team that surprised world cricket by beating Australia just days ago, Mitch Starc quite simply owned the Bangladeshi batters reducing their confidence from the hurrah of the first Test win into rubbles.

There’s another inning left to be played and Starc will once again hold the red ball casting a long torrid gaze at the Bangladeshi batters in their second inning spurred on by the fact that by the time he comes out to bowl, Australia will have compiled a useful first innings lead.
