The Indian team reached Japan for the much-awaited T20I, which is scheduled to be played on September 22. Following the one-off game, the Indian contingent will continue its campaign in the Asian Games.
As the players arrived at the hotel, a large number of Indian fans gathered outside to catch a glimpse of their favourite stars. Among them was a young fan who had a rather confident message for Shreyas Iyer.

While interacting with the Indian batter, the fan reportedly said, “Shreyas, I really like you and I know you like me too.”
Iyer, however, appeared to have a very different response ready.
The Indian cricketer simply replied, “Sorry!”, before moving ahead with a playful expression. His response immediately left the people around him laughing, turning the interaction into one of the most entertaining moments from Team India’s arrival in Japan.
The moment became even funnier because of the reaction of those around Iyer, with Vaibhav Sooryavanshi also appearing to enjoy the hilarious exchange.
Iyer has often been seen interacting with fans during India’s international assignments, but this particular conversation certainly caught everyone off guard. The fan’s confidence followed by Iyer’s cheeky “Sorry!” made for a light-hearted moment ahead of India’s busy schedule.
