RCB clenched victory over their first match of the 19th edition of the IPL, at their home ground in the M.Chinnaswamy Stadium, last night. The Bengaluru team secured a 6-wicket win against the Sunrisers
after they had put up a massive target of 202 runs in the first innings. The management was joined by the new owners of the team, Ananya Birla, members of the RCB women’s team, Smriti Mandhana and Shreyanka Patil, skipper of Delhi Capitals’ Jemimah Rodrigues and Anushka Sharma.
The proud owner of the team, Ananya Birla, took to her Instagram account, congratulating the team for their first win this season.

In the past news, Royal Challengers Bengaluru was acquired with a 100% stake to a consortium for $1.78 billion (approx. ₹16,600 crore). The buying consortium consists of the Aditya Birla Group, The Times of India Group (Times Internet), Bolt Ventures (led by David Blitzer), and Blackstone's private equity strategy (BXPE).
Aryaman Birla (former RR player) took up the position of Chairman of the franchise.
