It’s not probably but certainly the last that we’ve seen of French driver Esteban Ocon in Formula 1. His last three race results include- P15 at the Bahrain Grand Prix, P13 at the Singapore Grand Prix and the P14
at the USA Grand Prix. In the last race at the USA, his teammate Ollie Bearman, who’s been in quite decent form this season, finished with a DNF.
But it’s not that Ocon didn’t arrive at Mexico City for the next race; an uncertain chain of events of which there’s not much clarity even as on date would lead to Ocon being left out of the main race.
However, that didn’t mean that the Frenchman didn’t intend to participate in the fifth last race of the season.
Allegedly, an altercation – or so we are told- took place between the Haas team principle Ayao Komatsu and Esteban Ocon in which it’s believed that the latter assaulted the team boss, which led to the axing.
For sure, it would be daft to think that a talented driver would himself want to abdicate the responsibility of driving for the very team that’s supported him in the last few seasons all by himself.
BREAKING: Haas have confirmed Esteban Ocon will no longer compete for them in the 2026 Formula 1 season

And having said that, not too long after it became evident and confirmed that Esteban Ocon would no longer be available for Haas that the team signed up Ryo Hirakawa to race alongside Ollie Bearman. Next up post the Mexican Grand Prix, it’s just become known that Rafael “Rafa” Chaves Câmara will soon be available to race at the Brazilian Grand Prix.

This is no ordinary news, by the way. It’s a Brazilian driver who will be driving at the Brazilian Grand Prix, which unbeknownst to none since all die hard fans are aware- is the Senna country.
But where it’s all sad about the Esteban Ocon and Haas drama is the very fact that all that the French driver needed to mark up 200 Formula 1 race entries was 1 more race entry.
That, sadly, will no longer be available to him as an option.
With 1 win and 4 podiums, that’s all that there is to the Esteban Ocon story as the Evreux, France born driver seems to have done his time in the top flight of Motorsport.
