England and Northern Superchargers pacer Brydon Carse has been ruled out of The Hundred 2025 tournament. The English pacer, who recently featured in the five-match Test series for the Anderson-Tendulkar
Trophy 2025, has decided to withdraw from the one-of-a-kind 100 ball tournament, underway in England. The decision by the Durham bowler comes after consultation with a medical team.
Notably, the 30-year played a pivotal role in England’s Test series against India, which concluded in a stalemate by 2-2 margin. In the four Tests, he bowled 155 overs and was rested from the final Test, held at The Oval as part of his workload management.
Brydon Carse ruled out of The Hundred 2025; Mitchell Stanley called-in as replacement
"At the end of a long series against India and following consultation with the medical staff, I am sadly not able to play for Northern Superchargers in The Hundred this year," Carse said, as quoted by Cricbuzz. "I look forward to watching on from the sidelines and to representing the team again in the future," he continued.
However, in Carse’s absence, the Northern Superchargers have roped in Mitchell Stanley as his replacement for the ongoing edition. The 24-year-old right-arm fast medium bowler has played 17 T20 matches so far, where he has picked 13 wickets.
