Indian cricket is set for a packed 2026-27 season, with the men’s team scheduled to play a host of international series across all three formats. The season will feature tours by Afghanistan, West Indies,
New Zealand, Sri Lanka and Zimbabwe, before a major five-Test assignment against Australia.
India’s international campaign begins with a three-match T20I series against Afghanistan from September 13 to 17. The team will then return home for a lengthy white-ball series against the West Indies. India are scheduled to face the Caribbean side in three ODIs and five T20Is between September 27 and October 16.
The action will continue with India’s tour of New Zealand. The two teams are scheduled to play two Tests, five ODIs and five T20Is from October 22 to November 27, making it one of the most extensive assignments of the season.
In December, India will host Sri Lanka in another multi-format white-ball series. The schedule includes three ODIs and three T20Is between December 13 and 27.
The new year will begin with a three-match ODI series against Zimbabwe, scheduled from January 3 to 9, 2027.
However, the biggest Test challenge of the season will come against Australia. India are scheduled to play five Tests against Australia from January 21 to February 27, 2027. The series is expected to be one of the major highlights of the international calendar, with both sides set to battle it out in the longest format.
India’s Domestic Schedule 2026-27
Alongside the international schedule, India’s domestic cricket calendar will feature several major tournaments. The Duleep Trophy runs from August 23 to September 10, followed by the Irani Cup from October 1 to 5.
The Ranji Trophy Phase 1 will be played from October 11 to November 5, while the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy runs from November 14 to December 6. The Vijay Hazare Trophy follows from December 14 to January 8, before Ranji Trophy Phase 2 begins on January 17 and runs until March 3, 2027.
