Team Indiapacer Bhuvneshwar Kumar is out of the national squad for almost the last three years. His last international came against New Zealand in a T20 International (T20I) game played in Napier in November
2022. In the three-match T20I series against the Kiwi side, he could pick up only one wicket. His mediocre bowling performance denied him a place in the squad. Bhuvneshwar has gained massive supporters in his career and they are eager to see him making an international comeback. Currently, he is looking to deliver his best to his domestic side Uttar Pradesh.
Recently, he spoke to Dainik Jagran and answered the query whether fans will get to witness him in India colours again. Responding to the question, Bhuvneshwar said, "Aapko iska uttar chayanakarta denge (Only the selectors can answer that). My job is to give 100 percent on the field, and I'm doing that. If I get a chance to play for Uttar Pradesh in the Mushtaq Ali, Ranji, or One-Day formats after the UP league, I will give my best there too."

This year, Bhuvneshwar Kumar served Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 and took 17 wickets in 14 matches at an economy of 9.28. His performance was instrumental in RCB’s maiden IPL title triumph. In the final against Punjab Kings (PBKS) in Ahmedabad, he picked up 2/38 figures in his four overs and emerged as the highest wicket-taker for Bengaluru, alongside his teammate Krunal Pandya.
Captaining Lucknow Falcons in the UP T20 League, Bhuvneshwar guided his team to the playoffs. He grabbed a four-wicket haul in his three-over spell in one of the outings. Following the UP T20 League, his supporters will want him to see in action for UP in the Ranji Trophy 2025-26.
