The Men’s Selection Committee has made changes to India’s squad for the upcoming Japan T20I and Asian Games after Varun Chakaravarthy was ruled out because of a side strain.
Varun Chakaravarthy will miss
both assignments, with Vipraj Nigam named as his replacement in the updated squad.
Nitish Kumar Reddy, who was initially part of the Asian Games squad, has also been withdrawn from the tournament squad. He will instead join India’s ODI team for the upcoming home series against the West Indies.

Shreyas Iyer will continue to lead the side, with Tilak Varma named vice-captain. The squad contains several players who have featured prominently in India’s white-ball setup, including Abhishek Sharma, Sanju Samson, Ishan Kishan, Shivam Dube, Axar Patel and Arshdeep Singh.
