Netizens were left speechless after a surprising batting collapse of the Rajasthan Royals in a crucial match against the Mumbai Indians. The Indians hosted the Royals in the last league-stage games for
both sides on Sunday, May 24 at Wankhede Stadium. The game saw home skipper Hardik Pandya win the toss and invite the rivals to put the score on the board first. While the Indians became the first team to get knocked out of the playoffs race, the Royals are still in the contention and need to secure a win over the Indians for the same.
While the Pink Army was hoping for a flying start, things didn’t go as expected and the Royals lost their three key wickets within powerplay. Opener Yashasvi Jaiswal recorded 27 runs off 17 deliveries, while Vaibhav Sooryavanshi had to depart for just 4 runs in six deliveries. Not only this, but skipper Riyan Parag failed to do much with the bat and was forced to walk back off a 14-run knock in eight deliveries.
Fans react to RR’s disappointing batting prowess

Rajasthan Royals don’t even look like they’re playing to win. Feels like RR themselves are thinking, Hardik Pandya is in Mumbai Indians, MI players will lose on their own, so why should we even put effort into winning?
