Trinbago Knight Riders and the St Kitts and Nevis Patriots at the Brian Lara Stadium in Trinidad on September 1, was one to watch with Kieron Pollard showcasing his blitz hitting.
Coming in the match after registering a six-wicket win over Guyana Amazon Warriors, the Trinbago Knight Riders once again put up a performance of the ages. For the unversed, the Jason Holder-led St Kitts won the toss and invited the Knight Riders to bat first. On the back of a 29-ball 65 from Kieron Pollard and a 38-ball 52 from Nicholas Pooran, the side posted 179/6 in 20 overs.

Pollard, 38, who is often regarded as the most destructive T20 batters of all time, continued to showcase his explosive side. In the CPl 2025 league stage match against St Kitts and Nevis Patriots, Pollard once again exhibited his power-hitting, smashing seven sixes off eight deliveries. During his 29-ball stay, Pollard plundered 53 runs in his final 16 balls at a staggering strike rate of 331.25.
While he smashed three sixes off Navian Bidaisee’s third over, he then brought four straight sixes off Waqar Salamkheil’s final over of the innings, thus reaching his 50 off 21 balls. On the back of his blistering innings, he was also adjudged the Player of the Match and now sits only behind Chris Gayle (14,562) in most T20 runs with 14,070 runs.
While he will hope to continue his momentum in the upcoming matches as Trinbago Knight Riders next face Sain Lucia Kings on September 3 at the Brian Lara Stadium in Tarouba, Tinidad. The Nicholas Pooran-captained side have already sealed a berth in the playoffs, having won six off their seven games thus far and occupy the top place with 12 points to their name.
