Former Indiaspinner Harbhajan Singh has taken a dig at Pakistan following the latter’s crushing six-wicket defeat against the Men in Blue in the Asia Cup Super 4 game played in Dubai on September 21. In the match
between the arch-rivals, India looked superior against Pakistan in all departments of the game and bagged a six-wicket victory. Following the match, India skipper Suryakumar appeared in the post-match presser and asked the media to stop the using word rivalry to describe the matches between both neighbours Suryakumar also emphasised on the fact that India have stood tall against the Green Army in the last seven matches and called the contests between the two teams one-sided.
In the latest development, Harbhajan Singh has agreed with Suryakumar and also taunted Pakistan. Taking to X, the legendary spinner posted a picture of Abhishek Sharma and Shubman Gill in which the former can be seen confronting Pakistan's Haris Rauf. Harbhajan captioned the picture, writing, “The One Sided Rivalry Chak De India.”
Pakistan lost six consecutive games against India
With the humiliating defeat on September 21, Pakistanrecorded six consecutive losses against India across all formats of the sport. This year, India have won three matches against the Men in Green and all triumphs came in Dubai. Before winning the couple of matches in the Asia Cup 2025, India hammered Pakistan in the Champions Trophy 2025 contest played at the iconic venue.
Pakistan’s series of defeats started in the Asia Cup 2023 game held at the R. Premadasa. In the ODI game, the Babar Azam-led Pakistan recorded a heavy 228-run defeat. After a month, India beat their neighbours by seven wickets in the Cricket World Cup 2023 match held in Ahmedabad. In the T20 World Cup 2024 game played in New York, Pakistan were tasked to chase a mere 120 against the Rohit Sharma-led India but this time, the T20 World Cup 2009 champions fell six runs short and missed the golden chance of beating India again.
