During the 3rd and last T20I between England and Sri Lanka, the English wicketkeeper Jos Buttler pulls off a stunning catch in front of the stumps, leaving fans and commentators in awe. The catch dismissed

Dunith Wellalage on 9, and England won the match and the series by 3-0 after clinching the ODI series 2-1. Now they will head into the highly anticipated ICC T20 World Cup 2026 with great momentum.

In the 3rd T20I match between England and Sri Lanka at Pallekele on 3rd February 2026, England batted first and set the target of 129 to chase for the home team. Sri Lanka had a good start, but England made a comeback in the middle overs, and the match got stuck in a tricky situation.

21 runs were needed in the last 3 overs with Wellalage and Shanaka batting. Bethell comes to bowl and bowls the first delivery full outside, and Sri Lanka gets the 4 extra runs. On the very next ball, Wellalage slog-swept the ball, and it didn't connect well. The wicketkeeper Jos Buttler moves and takes a stunning catch in front of the stumps, leaving everyone in shock. The TV umpire checked the catch and gave the decision in favor of Buttler, and Sri Lanka lost Wellalage’s wickets at a crucial time.

In the same over, Bethell removes Chammera and Shanaka, and eventually England wins the game by 12 runs. With this they also won the series by 3-0.

Now they will head to India for the much-awaited ICC T20 World Cup 2026. England, led by Harry Brook, will kick off their campaign on 8 February against Nepal at Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai.
