Jamie Overton celebrated Chennai Super Kings' (CSK) first win of the IPL 2026 season with a celebratory post after his Player of the Match-contending performance against Delhi Capitals (DC) on 11 April
2026. He shared his excitement about the win, with fans and media capturing his sentiment of "Love Being in Yellow”. Following his match-winning spell, he shared insights on his favorite wickets and reflected on the team's "rich history of winning".
Overton was the standout bowler at the M. A. Chidambaram Stadium, helping CSK snap a three-match losing streak. Overton became a "point of difference" for CSK, contributing both with the ball (4/18 vs DC) and the bat (43* vs RR and 37 vs RCB earlier in the season). Overtone’s spell of 18 runs for four wickets became a redemption after his expensive spell against RCB where he conceded 42 runs.
Overton consistently bowled at a speed of 145 kph. His key wickets included the dismissal of Sameer Rizvi who was dismissed for a mere 6 runs, Tristian Stubbs who was batting at 60 and David Miller who was dismissed for just 17 runs.
