After Mandhana, Rawal also hammered her half century after playing 75 balls. Mandhana looked ruthless and went on to notch up her 14th WODI ton. It also marked Mandhana’s first century in this World Cup.
Suzie Bates eventually succeeded in breaking the stand as she got Smriti caught at the hands of the substitute fielder Hannah Rowe. Manadhana departed after hoarding 109 runs off 95 balls. After the dismissal of both openers, Jemimah Rodrigues hammered New Zealand’s bowling attack. She took the White Ferns’ bowling attack to the cleaners and scored her fifty in just 38 balls. Currently, Harmanpreet Kaur (10* off 10) and Jemimah (69* off 51) are at the crease and India are currently on 329/2 in 48 overs.
India will look to be at their best in the second innings as they will be emboldened after their scintillating batting performance in the first innings.
