Australia all-rounder Glenn Maxwell has dropped an update regarding his fractured wrist. The veteran picked up the injury last month which denied him a place in Australia’s T20I squad for three matches
in New Zealand. Maxwell underwent a surgery recently to return to action as soon as possible. Australia will host Team India for eight white-ball matches from October 19 to November 8 and during this period, the hosts will play a five-match T20I series against the Men in Blue, who are high on confidence after winning the Asia Cup title for the ninth time.
The Australiaveteran recently disclosed that the cast on his wrist has been removed and he is hopeful of his recovery before the second-half of the T20I series against India. “The only reason I had the surgery last week was to give myself a slim chance to hopefully play a part (in the T20I series against India) .Having the surgery gives me a bit more hope of playing some part in that India series if I can get myself right,” said Maxwell in an interview with Cricket Australia.

Maxwell, in his 13-year career, has served Australia in six T20 World Cup editions. He was also a part of Australia’s side that won the T20 World Cup 2021 under Aaron Finch’s captaincy.
