Amritsar Soormas skipper Abhishek Sharma has been on a roll in the Sher-E-Punjab T20. On Monday, he slammed a 15-ball 49 during his side’s clash against Fazilka Falcons in the 17th clash of the tournament
at the IS Bindra Stadium in Mohali. The game saw the Indian batter win the toss and let his rival skipper Shubman Gill bat first. While the Falcons posted a competitive total of 191-6 with the loss in 20 overs, the Soormas were quick to catch up, owing to the fiery knock by the skipper.
In their chase, the Soorma openers, Sharma and Sahaj Dhawan gave the side a steady start. While Dhawan hit a 34-ball 37 with a combination of five boundaries, Sharma came up with a gun-blazing 15-ball 49. The Indian opener missed his well-deserving fifty after getting dismissed off a Garv Kumar delivery after being caught out by his counterpart and Indian teammate Shubman Gill. The 26-year-old smashed six boundaries and four maximums in his knock to help narrow the bridge between the score and the target.
Apart from him, Rahul Kumar also played a crucial knock of 53* runs to help the Amritsar-based team pull off their second win of the season.

Sharma has been on a roll in the regional league, and has put up impressive performances for the side. In the opening match, he hit a 26-ball 77, and followed it with an 82-run knock of 36 runs. In the third game, he was restricted to 21 runs, but the batter made a sound comeback in the fourth game and nearly posted a fifty.
