The Mumbai Indians fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah had achieved a historic feat in the game against the Punjab Kings at the Wankhede Stadium. Bumrah became the first fast bowler in the history of the IPL to play
150 matches for a single IPL franchise. He has been one of the best Indian fast bowlers in the IPL and undoubtedly the best that Mumbai has produced. He made his debut for the franchise in the 2013 season of the IPL.
Jasprit Bumrah has picked up 183 wickets at an economy rate of 7 and he is third highest wicket taker for the franchise. He has been instrumental to the success of the Mumbai Indians and has been a key player in their bowling unit. The Mumbai Indians will be hopeful that he can play many more matches for the club.

Form concerns deepen for Mumbai Indians with fourth straight defeat
The Mumbai Indians have had a real dip in form this season, as they lost their fourth game of the season against the Punjab Kings. The five time champions kicked off their campaign with a thumping victory over the Kolkata Knight Riders as they chased down a massive total. But from then, things have gone downhill for the franchise. They have lost four consecutive games and in each of the games, the opposition won by a fairly comfortable margin. There are issues surrounding the form of Suryakumar Yadav and Tilak Varma, as they are key players in the side. Their bowling units are also yet to fire in the season, as no real threats are being posed by the bowlers.
Despite all the areas of concern that the Mumbai Indians have, there is one player whose form is worrying them. Jasprit Bumrah has been their talisman for a long time and each time he’s brought into the attack, he would pick up a wicket. But this time out, Bumrah hasn’t picked up a wicket yet from the 4 matches that he has played. One of the main reasons could be that the other bowlers are not supporting him enough. As in, the opposition batters know that they don’t need to take much risks against Bumrah and instead, they can target the other bowlers. Unless the other bowlers in the Mumbai Indians are able to contribute, the pressure will just keep on mounting for the Indian speedster.
The Mumbai Indians do have some time to regroup and reflect on their form in the season so far. They will play their next game against the Gujarat Titans and that could be the game in which they could bounce back to form. Jasprit Bumrah will be hoping that he can break the shackles with a couple of wickets and get back to his best.
