Devdutt Padikkal produced a moment of brilliance in the field as he took a superb catch at wide slip to dismiss Australia A wicketkeeper-batter Josh Philippe.
Bowling to Philippe, Arshad Khan delivered
a fuller ball outside the off stump, inviting the right-hander to go for a big drive. Philippe went for the shot but could only manage an outside edge.
The ball flew quickly towards wide slip, but Padikkal showed excellent anticipation and sharp reflexes. Diving to his right, the Indian fielder got both hands behind the ball and completed an impressive catch before rolling over safely with the ball still firmly in his hand.

Australia A were left in further trouble following the wicket, with their score standing at 114/5 after 23.4 overs. Nathan McSweeney was holding the innings together with a well-made 47, while captain Will Sutherland was at the crease looking to build a partnership.
Padikkal’s catch stood out as one of the key moments of the innings, with the Indian fielder displaying excellent awareness and athleticism at a difficult catching position. The dismissal highlighted the pressure India A were putting on the Australian batters and gave Arshad Khan another important wicket.
