also didn’t shake hands with each other after the toss. The Men in Blue hammered the Green Army by seven wickets and sealed their berth for the Super 4 round. Captain Suryakumar stood at the crease until the end and took the team home with his unbeaten 47-run knock off 37 balls. Abhishek Sharma (31 off 13) and Tilak Varma (31 off 31) also looked impactful with their bats.
Earlier, in the first innings, Pakistan posted a total of 127/9 in their 20 overs. On the first delivery of the contest, Hardik Pandya dismissed Saim Ayub on a duck. In the crunch situation, Sahibzada Farhan and Fakhar Zaman stitched a 39-run stand off 38 balls. Zaman could cross the Axa Patel challenge and departed after hoarding 17 off 15. Against India’s disciplined spin-bowling unit, Pakistan’s middle-order put up a disastrous show. Captain Salman Ali Agha, Hassan Nawaz, and Mohammad Nawaz couldn't reach double digits. Riding on opener Sahibzada Farhan’s 40 off 44 and Shaheen Shah Afridi’s unbeaten 33 runs from 16 balls, the Men in Green posted the fighting total.

Team India to play against Oman in the final group match
India will play their final group match against Oman on September 19. The defending champions will strive to play quality cricket in the Super 4 round to strengthen their campaign and retain the title. After witnessing India’s performances in the Asia Cup 2025, thus far, it can be said that India have nothing much to worry about.
Their spin-bowling attack has been magnificent so far. Kuldeep Yadav has been extraordinary in both matches while Axar Patel has also shown that he can't be taken lighly by batter in UAE's spin-friendly conditions. However, vice-captain Shubman Gill will be expected to perform as per his reputation.
