But the very fact that he embodies faith, simplicity, positive energy and boundless enthusiasm of a kind that’s larger than life and adorable in words that shall perhaps never be enough.
What’s also special, therefore, is when known faces visit during the harmonious festive seasons of Ganpati worship, a face that’s come to transcend religion and caste in a way few can.
So when Suryakumar Yadav recently visited a noted Ganpati Bappa pandal in Mumbai, Maharashtra during the iconic lord’s festival, it made news. And not just for the fact that a great cricketer who deserves much adulation for his record in white ball cricket visited everyone’s favourite lord.

But also for the fact that Sky, as he’s lovingly called, conducted himself with the very simplicity and grace as one has seen accompanying god almighty Lord Ganesha himself.
Because at the end of the day, one needs to remember that irrespective of the cricketer’s stature what also comes to matter is how one conducts, represents himself and jollies around with the common man on the street who pays to watch him and invests his time and energy behind rooting for him.
Suryakumar Yadav was able to score when his India team wanted someone to bail it out of trouble. And he recently during the Bappa festivities spoke so wonderfully and passionately with the talents who had put up the beautiful Pandal and connected with onlookers and inquisitive fans as if he is a commoner.
And maybe that is the very thing to appreciate and admire about the famous explosive right handed better that much like his Mumbai Indians, Former skipper, Rohit Sharma, Sky too, conducts himself with much simplicity and affection for his fans
