Veteran Team Indiaall-rounder Ravindra Jadeja was seen in a jovial mood after his team’s close win against England in the fifth Test of the Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy at The Oval. In India’s success, Jadeja couldn’t
do much with the ball on The Oval’s swift track but made a vital contribution of his half-century in the second innings. He stitched crucial partnerships with Dhruv Jurel and Washington Sundar to help his team reach a total of 396 in the second innings. The 36-year-old concluded his knock after scoring 53 off 77. It was his fifth fifty in the series.
Following the fifth Test, a video has gone viral on X, in which Team India can be seen taking a victory lap. While taking a round of the ground, Jadeja took a dig at English team’s supporters present at the stadium. Pointing towards English fans in a hilarious manner, he said, “Goro ka muh dekh.”

Talking about Jadeja’s performance in the series against England, he racked up 516 runs and seven wickets in five contests. As a batter, he ended up as the fourth-highest run-getter with a hundred and five fifties in 10 innings. His batting average was 86.00 in the series. After the retirement of Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli, Jadeja is the most experienced player in India’s current Test squad.
Jadeja’s next assignment will be against the West Indies in a two-match Test series at home between October 2-14. Following that, India will travel to Australia for three One-Day Internationals (ODI) and five T20 Internationals (T20I). Jadeja will don India blues in the 50-over series to be played Down Under. The star all-rounder’s last ODI outing came on March 9, in the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 final against New Zealand at the iconic Dubai International Stadium.
