Rohit Sharma has once again been asked regarding his hilarious moment during the convocation ceremony at the Masters’ Union campus in Gurugram. The former Indian captain attempted to recall the words of
Tim Paine in a press conference in Australia but he forgot. The moment went viral on the internet as Rohit began by saying that he remembers the incident but went on to say that he forgot. In the most recent video, a fan asked if he remembers what Tim Paine said and the Indian cricketer went on to hilariously ask the fan to exit the room.
“Ro, we have a question. More than 100 people asked you about what Tim Paine actually said in that press conference,” asked the fan to Rohit Sharma. During the convocation ceremony at the Masters’ Union campus, Rohit Sharma said “I still remember Tim Paine was the Australian captain at that time, he said something in the press conference… I don’t know what he said.”. Rohit Sharma’s forgetfulness and witty humour continue to entertain fans
Rohit Sharma’s absent mindedness has been one of the most hilarious talking points in Indian cricket. During a 2023 ODI match in Raipur, Rohit won the toss and he went completely blank not knowing what to choose. He held his hand to his forehead for roughly 10 seconds before finally remembering and opting to bowl first. In an interview of Virat Kohli on Breakfast with Champions, he stated that the former Indian captain would frequently forget his essentials. Rohit Sharma’s witty humour has also been used in some ads for marketing purposes and the fans absolutely love seeing his comic side.

The 39-year-old has been in prolific form in ODI cricket and he has been amongst the top-run getters for India in the format. Rohit Sharma was sensational against West Indies as he scored a stunning 92 in the last match of the series. India were struggling to score runs on a difficult track and lost early wickets in the form of Virat Kohli and Shubman Gill. Rohit’s well-made 92 helped India to set the foundation for a fine finish. In his last 5 innings, he has scored 2 centuries and a half-century as well. The former Indian captain would be eyeing the 2027 ICC ODI Cricket World Cup and that could probably be his final world cup for India.
The Indian batter is expected to be back in international action for the One-Day international series against New Zealand. Rohit is currently in Mumbai preparing himself ahead of the crucial set of fixtures on foreign conditions and he is expected to travel to New Zealand in the coming days. The first ODI between India and New Zealand is scheduled to be on November 4th in Auckland.
