Justin Greaves produced a magnificent batting performance to register his maiden One Day International century as West Indies put India under pressure in the first ODI of the three-match series at Thiruvananthapuram,
Kerala.
After India opted to bowl first, Greaves walked out with a clear intent and continued his impressive run in international cricket. The West Indies batter reached his century in 104 balls, smashing 12 boundaries along the way. At the time of reaching the landmark, he had scored 100 runs at a strike rate of 96.15, playing a crucial role in taking the visitors to a commanding position.
Greaves and Campbell stitch 100-run partnership
Greaves had started the innings strongly and was involved in an important opening partnership of 135 runs with Campbell. The foundation laid by the opening pair allowed West Indies to maintain a healthy scoring rate against the Indian bowling attack.

After Campbell’s dismissal, Greaves continued to hold the innings together and stitched together further useful partnerships to keep the scoreboard moving. Even while dealing with an injury, he showed tremendous composure and continued batting positively.
