The brawl broke out between the fans at the Ekana Stadium in Lucknow during a disappointing passage of play for the home fans. The Lucknow Super Giants struggled to get going with the bat as their skipper, Rishabh Pant, was dismissed early in the innings. Nicholas Pooran and Aiden Markram were also among the players who were highly anticipated by the fans, but they couldn’t contribute. Mitchell Marsh and Abdul Samad fought a valiant battle with the bat as they tried to steady the ship for the home side in what was otherwise a very poor batting performance. The Delhi Capitals were also off to a shaky start, losing a couple of wickets in the early part of the innings. But the fightback charge was led by Sameer Rizvi and Tristan Stubbes, who batted very well till the end of the innings and won the game for the side by 6 wickets.

The Lucknow Super Giants have their next match on 5th April against the Sunrisers Hyderabad and they will be optimistic that they can put on a better performance. The match is set to be played at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad and the visitors should be prepared for a high-scoring game due to the nature of the pitches. Rishabh Pant and his men will have to step up their game, if they are to secure a spot among the top 4 in the league.
