The wait is finally over as India take on the field against United Arab Emirates in the second match of Asia Cup 2025 at Dubai International Cricket Stadium. The Men in Blue are coming as defending champions
and will be looking to continue their domination in the shortest format and start their campaign with a big win over UAE.
Ahead of their first match of Asia Cup 2025, Indian skipper Suryakumar Yadavwon the toss and opted to field first. Interestingly, this was also India’s first toss win after 15 consecutive toss losses in international cricket. India have picked some star players in their playing XI for the first match. However, India’s highest wicket-taker in T20Is Arshdeep Singh isn’t included in the playing XI.
India going with three spinners in Asia Cup 2025 clash vs UAE
Talking about the Indian playing XI against UAE in the second game of Asia Cup 2025, India have a batting line-up till number eight and are looking like a strong batting side. Fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah will also be seen playing a T20I for India after more than a year. Apart from that, India have picked Axar Patel, Kuldeep Yadav and Varun Chakaravarthy as their three spinners for the clash against UAE. This can also be the reason for Arshdeep Singh’s snub from the playing XI against UAE.
