France captain Kylian Mbappe is expected to be fit for the FIFA World Cup 2026 semi-final against Spain despite managing a minor ankle issue during the team's
final training session.
The Real Madrid forward did not complete Monday's full training session after picking up a knock during France's 2-0 quarter-final victory over Morocco, prompting concerns over his availability for one of the biggest matches of the tournament.
However, France head coach Didier Deschamps has played down those fears, confirming Mbappe will be available for selection.

Mbappe suffered a minor ankle injury during France's win over Morocco and was substituted late in the match.
Ahead of the semi-final, the 27-year-old took part in training but completed a reduced workload as a precaution.
"Kylian is fine," Deschamps told reporters.
Asked about Mbappe's participation in training, the France coach added: "Yes, he trained. He is allowed to do 10 minutes in one drill instead of 15. "
The decision was made to carefully manage his workload rather than because of any serious injury.
