India defeated Namibia by 93 runs in their Group A T20 World Cup encounter at Arun Jaitley Stadium, Delhi, securing a dominant victory and their second

India made a blistering start, reaching their fastest team century in T20 World Cup history (104/1 in 7 overs). Sanju Samson opened aggressively, blasting 22 off 8 balls (including three sixes) before falling to Ben Shikongo. Ishan Kishan then unleashed carnage, smashing a 24-ball 61, propelling the innings forward.
The middle order faltered briefly, with Suryakumar Yadav (12), Tilak Varma, and others departing as spinners struck back. Namibia's bowling, led by Erasmus who picked up four wickets and triggered a collapse, with three wickets falling for 20 runs mid-innings. Hardik Pandya revived the momentum with a fiery 52, adding crucial runs in partnerships. Shivam Dube contributed 23, but a dramatic late slump saw five wickets tumble for just 10 runs in the final two overs (including three in quick succession), restricting India to 209/9.
Chasing 210, Namibia began steadily but crumbled against India's spin and pace. They reached 57/1 in the Powerplay but lost momentum. Varun Chakravarthy wreaked havoc with three quick wickets, while Axar Patel and others squeezed the middle order. Erasmus made 18, but Namibia never threatened, as they were bundled out for 116 runs.
India won the match by 93 runs, which is the biggest in their T20 World Cup history in terms of runs. The Indian team will now travel to Colombo to face Pakistan in their next group stage encounter on February 15.
