The winners of the FIFA World Cup 2026 will walk away with more than just the iconic trophy and gold medals. In a landmark move, FIFA has introduced championship
rings for the victorious team, marking the first time in the tournament's 96-year history that such an award will accompany football's most coveted prize.
Inspired by the championship ring tradition that has long been a part of American professional sports, the new keepsake is designed to commemorate the achievement of becoming world champions. The rings will debut after the World Cup final between Argentina and Spain at the New York New Jersey Stadium.
Special presentation after World Cup 2026 Final
Following the final whistle, the winning captain and head coach will receive ceremonial rings during the trophy presentation before lifting the World Cup. The remaining members of the 30-person championship delegation will later be presented with custom-made versions featuring personalized engravings unique to the title-winning squad.
Each ring has been designed with the FIFA World Cup trophy engraved on one side, while the opposite side will showcase details specific to the champions, ensuring every piece is unique to the victorious team.

To celebrate the 2026 World Cup, FIFA has commissioned the production of 2,026 championship rings. Only 30 of those will be reserved for the winning national team, while the remaining 1,996 will be released as limited-edition collectibles for football supporters and memorabilia enthusiasts around the world.
