Sports management student Skyla Clarke said footballers often experience both immense admiration and unfair criticism online, with even players' families occasionally becoming targets.
Haaland himself recently acknowledged the growing use of AI-generated content involving footballers, describing some of it as "a bit scary," though he welcomed the memes and traditions surrounding Norway's World Cup run as signs of the team's growing popularity.
