T20 World Cup 2026: Chief Executive Officer of Chennai Super Kings, Kasi Viswanathan, has lauded the performances of Sanju Samson and Shivam Dube following
their impressive displays at the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2026.
The Indian duo played key roles in helping the Indian national cricket team secure back-to-back T20 World Cup titles, and Viswanathan expressed delight that both players are part of the Chennai Super Kings setup.
Speaking about India's success and the contributions of the two players, Viswanathan said the performances have boosted confidence within the franchise ahead of the upcoming season.
"I am very happy that the Indian team has won back-to-back World Cups, and we are also delighted because two of our CSK players, Sanju Samson and Shivam Dube, did extremely well. This gives us a lot of confidence that they will do well for our team CSK as well," he said.

MS Dhoni Likely To Feature In All Matches
Viswanathan also provided an update regarding legendary former India captain MS Dhoni ahead of the 19th edition of the Indian Premier League.
The CSK CEO suggested that Dhoni is likely to play throughout the upcoming season, though his exact role in the team remains undecided and will be determined by the coaching and cricketing staff.
"He is likely to play all matches, according to me. His role is a cricketing decision that will be taken by the cricketing administration and not by the managing administration," Viswanathan explained.
He further added that the decision regarding Dhoni's position in the team, whether as a batter, wicketkeeper-batter, or as an impact player, will be made by the cricket management based on the team's strategy.
"So whether he will play as a batter, keeper-bat, or impact player, it will be decided by them," he added.
CSK Eye Strong Season Ahead
With the upcoming IPL season approaching, Chennai Super Kings will be hoping that the strong international form of players like Samson and Dube translates into success for the franchise.
Meanwhile, the presence of Dhoni continues to be a major boost for the team as they prepare for another campaign.
