Auqib Nabi will replace Jasprit Bumrah for the upcoming two-match Test series. After Bumrah's injury, the Jammu & Kashmir pacer has been picked for the tour. Nabi has been stellar in red-ball cricket domestically as he picked up 104 wickets across last two seasons. He was part of the India A tour in Sri Lanka earlier, where he starred with 6 wickets in two matches.
Subhadeep Ghosh appointed as India fielding coach
The BCCI has appointed Subhadeep Ghosh as India's new fielding coach, replacing T Dilip. A former Assam and Railways cricketer, Ghosh brings years of coaching experience, having worked with the India women's team, Delhi Capitals, and several domestic sides. The former Assam player is the latest addition to Gautam Gambhir's support staff and will begin his tenure with India's upcoming two-Test series against Sri Lanka.

Commonwealth Games 2026 Silver medallist Lovlina Borgohain highlighted an inaccurate map of India displayed on napkins and outside a popular Indian restaurant in Glasgow during the Games. She took to social media saying the omission of the Northeast was deeply hurtful. "In the map of India, our North East is missing. That hurts us," wrote the Assam boxer. Following her objection, Indian Boxing Federation president Ajay Singh confirmed the restaurant acknowledged the mistake and agreed to correct the map.
