The Asian Cricket Council (ACC) has officially released the full schedule for the Asia Cup 2025, set to begin on September 9 in the UAE. The much-anticipated

India vs Pakistan clash is scheduled for September 14 in Dubai, which will also host the tournament final on September 28.

The T20-format event will feature eight teams and be played across Abu Dhabi and Dubai, with a total of 19 matches on the calendar.

As the countdown to the tournament begins, the Indian team management is working on finalizing a squad that balances youth and experience. One major development is the likely absence of pace spearhead Jasprit Bumrah, who is expected to sit out the tournament due to workload management. Mohammed Shami's participation is also under doubt as he recovers from injury, which could open the door for a young pacer like Harshit Rana.

Suryakumar Yadav, India's designated T20I captain, is racing against time to regain fitness following a sports hernia surgery. While he's already training at the National Cricket Academy, his availability remains uncertain. Should he miss out, Hardik Pandya seems to be the frontrunner to lead the side.

One of the big inclusions could be Shreyas Iyer, who has made a strong case for himself after a solid IPL season and is being viewed not just as a dependable middle-order batter but also a player with leadership qualities. Kuldeep Yadav and Varun Chakravarthy are likely to be the two frontline spinners.
