Yuvraj Singh has taken a playful dig on social media towards India players Abhishek Sharma, Shubman Gill and a few others.
Rishabh Pant endured a tough
period after being left out of the Indian team. The southpaw took mentorship from Yuvraj and after the stint, he had a special gift for Yuvraj.
Rishabh Pant showed his appreciation for Yuvraj Singh in a thoughtful way, gifting the former India all-rounder a golf club. The gesture carried a personal touch, especially since Yuvraj has developed a strong interest in golf after retiring from cricket and often spends time on the course with ex-teammates.
Yuvraj later posted a video on social media to thank Pant for the present, revealing the message on the golf bag: "Dear Yuvi paaji, thank you for your support and guidance. See you on the golf course. Love RP. "
The veteran all-rounder loved the gift, but also kept the mood light by teasing his other mentees - Abhishek Sharma, Shubman Gill, Prabhsimran Singh, Naman Dhir, Abdul Samad and Priyansh Arya - and telling them to "have some shame" for not matching Pant's gesture.
"Besharmo (Shamelesses), No. 1 Abhishek Sharma, No. 2 Shubman Gill, No. 3 Prabhsimran, No. 4 Nehal Wadhera, Abdul Samad, Naman Dhir, Priyansh Arya. Don't you have any shame? Learn something from Rishabh Pant," said Yuvraj in the Instagram video in a playful way.
Pant, meanwhile, is going through a difficult IPL 2026 campaign. In nine innings, he has scored 204 runs at an average of 25.50 and a strike rate of 128.30. He has managed only 19 fours and seven sixes, along with a single half-century.
On the other hand, Abhishek Sharma was part of the T20 World Cup-winning squad for India and has been excellent in the IPL 2026 for Sunrisers Hyderabad. He has so far amassed 440 runs and sit 2nd in the Orange Cap list. Shubman Gill has also scored 378 runs so far and looks strong with the Gujarat Titans this season. Punjab Kings' Priyansh Arya has been a force with the bat as the PBKS sit atop of the IPL points table, while Naman Dhir's Mumbai Indians are sitting 2nd bottom in the league.
