At the end of the group stages, they have advanced to the Super 8s with an unbeaten record, winning all four out of their four matches.

Brian Bennett, born on November 10, 2003, in Harare, Zimbabwe, is a dynamic right-handed batting allrounder and right-arm offbreak bowler who has rapidly ascended in international cricket. Standing at 6 feet tall, he honed his skills at Peterhouse Boys' School alongside his twin brother David, both representing Zimbabwe at the 2022 U-19 World Cup where Brian topped the run charts with 273 runs.
Bennett debuted domestically for Mountaineers in the 2022-23 Logan Cup, scoring on first-class debut as a concussion sub, followed by a T20 debut knock of 41 off 22 balls. He earned his T20I cap against Ireland in December 2023 and ODI debut versus Pakistan in November 2024. Key highlights include an unbeaten 264 in Logan Cup 2023-24, his maiden Test century (110*) and 5/95 against Afghanistan in December 2024, and ODI ton of 169 vs Ireland in February 2025

He has now scored 63 against Sri Lanka, thus propelling himself among the top 10 run scorers in this tournament so far.
Bennett has also astonishingly not hit a single six in the T20 World Cup so far, with all of his boundaries coming in 22 fours.
