Real Madrid midfielder Jude Bellingham has been thrust into an unexpected controversy after Spanish YouTuber Raul Alvarez Genes levelled sensational allegations
regarding the English star's off-field lifestyle.
In a video posted on his channel, Genes claimed that Bellingham has been visiting nightclubs across Spain and indulging heavily in alcohol, suggesting that these habits have influenced his recent form.
According to Genes, Bellingham's nightlife activities have been extensive and visible during training sessions. "There isn't a single club in Spain that Jude Bellingham hasn't visited. He loves alcohol too much. Have you seen him in training? He is sweating all of the rum. He loves partying too much," Genes said, alleging that the midfielder has been attending parties regularly across the country.
So far, Bellingham has not directly addressed these fresh accusations, though he has previously spoken out against similar speculation. Earlier this week, reports emerged of supposed friction between the England international and newly appointed Real Madrid coach Xabi Alonso, which Bellingham strongly refuted. "Until now, I have let far too many of these slide, always hoping the truth will come to light in its own time. But honestly . What a load of s-. Truly feel sorry for the people that hang onto every word of these clowns and their 'sources'," he posted, calling out the rumours.
The midfielder has been working his way back to full fitness after dealing with a shoulder injury last season. He underwent surgery during the summer and missed the opening fixture of the current campaign. Since returning, he has featured in 16 La Liga matches, registering four goals and three assists-solid numbers considering his recovery phase.
Meanwhile, Real Madrid eased some pressure with a 2-0 win over Levante on January 17, marking Álvaro Arbeloa's first victory since taking charge. The match began with frustration from the home supporters, who jeered the team following a shock Copa del Rey loss to second-tier Albacete earlier in the week. However, second-half strikes from Kylian Mbappe and Raul Asencio secured a crucial win as Villarreal slipped to a 2-0 defeat against Real Betis.
