RR vs RCB: What was the Turning Point?
Rajasthan Royals delivered a masterful powerplay display against Royal Challengers Bengaluru in their IPL 2026 clash at Guwahati, setting a blistering tone. Yashasvi Jaiswal and teenage sensation Vaibhav Sooryavanshi unleashed aggressive intent right from the outset, capitalizing on the new ball with fearless strokeplay.
Their explosive opening partnership, built on precise timing and powerful hitting, propelled RR to an imposing 97/1 in six overs-a run rate exceeding 16, featuring multiple boundaries and towering sixes. Jaiswal's elegant drives and Sooryavanshi's raw power overwhelmed RCB's pacers, including early pressure from Josh Hazlewood.
Despite Jaiswal departing after a start, Dhruv Jurel came in and also played a stellar knock in the powerplay itself. He later went on to score an unbeaten 82 as the Royals continue their winning run this season.
