Chidambaram Stadium, successfully chasing down 160 with 11 balls to spare. The win further strengthened CSK's dominance in the rivalry, completing a season double over MI.
After being asked to bat first, the Mumbai Indians managed 159/7 in their 20 overs but never truly found momentum. The innings revolved around Naman Dhir's composed 57 off 37 balls, while Ryan Rickelton contributed a quick 37 off 24 deliveries.
However, MI's middle order faltered again. Suryakumar Yadav managed 21, while captain Hardik Pandya added 18, as neither could convert starts into substantial scores.

Ruturaj Gaikwad Becomes 2nd CSK Batsman With 50+ Scores
In response, Chennai Super Kings chased down the target with clinical efficiency, led by skipper Ruturaj Gaikwad. The CSK captain remained unbeaten on 67 off 48 balls, controlling the tempo of the chase with ease and precision.
He was well supported by Kartik Sharma, who smashed an unbeaten 54 off 40 balls, including three towering sixes. The duo stitched together a match-winning 98-run stand for the third wicket after Urvil Patel's early dismissal. Their partnership ensured CSK never lost control of the chase, with calculated strokeplay and smart rotation of strike breaking MI's bowling rhythm.
In the process, Gaikwad scored his 24th half-century for the Chennai Super Kings (CSK), thereby becoming the second-highest batter with a 50+ score in IPL. The CSK captain is just behind Suresh Raina, who has 34 50+ scores to his name.
With this, the CSK captain finally returns to form as he gets back-to-back half-centuries under his belt.
