Michael Olise delivered an exceptional performance, leading Bayern Munich to a remarkable 6-2 victory over Freiburg. Initially, Freiburg stunned Bayern by taking a two-goal lead within the first 17 minutes
at the Allianz Arena. However, Olise's two goals and three assists were pivotal in Bayern's comeback after their previous draw with Union Berlin.
Freiburg missed early opportunities before Yuito Suzuki capitalised on a deflected corner to score the opener 12 minutes into the match. Five minutes later, Johan Manzambi headed in Niklas Beste's corner, leaving Manuel Neuer helpless and extending Freiburg's lead.
Olise initiated Bayern's response in the 22nd minute by evading two defenders and setting up Lennart Karl, who scored from near the penalty spot. Bayern continued to press and equalised just before halftime when Noah Atubolu couldn't stop Olise's powerful low shot.
The momentum shifted completely in the second half. Dayot Upamecano volleyed in Olise’s corner after 55 minutes, and Harry Kane scored their fourth goal five minutes later. Olise then assisted Nicolas Jackson, who found the bottom-right corner to further extend Bayern’s lead.
Olise capped his outstanding display by cutting inside and curling a stunning shot into the top-left corner. This victory extended Bayern’s lead at the top of the Bundesliga table to eight points. At just 23 years and 345 days old, Olise became the youngest player for Bayern to be involved in five goals in a single Bundesliga match since Opta records began in 2004-05.

Data Highlights: Olise's Impact
Bayern faced potential defeat after their sluggish start, but Olise ensured that outcome was avoided with his stellar performance. He was directly involved in eight of Bayern’s 22 shots, more than double any other player on the field (Kane, Karl, and Suzuki each had three). Additionally, he had nine touches inside Freiburg’s box and created six chances during the game.
