The Karnataka State 4th Mini Games 2025 featured equestrian events for the first time, hosted by Embassy International Riding School. This event was open to young riders aged 10 to 14 years.
The inclusion
of equestrian sports was made possible through collaboration with the Karnataka Riding Association, the Karnataka Olympic Association, and support from the Government of Karnataka's Department of Youth Empowerment and Sports.
The event showcased various competitions, including dressage and show jumping. In the Introductory Dressage Test, Mohak Naveen P emerged victorious with his horses Best of Blaze and Zippy. Rama Tanush Reddy, riding Buce from EIRS, secured second place, while Arnav Navaratna also on Best of Blaze and Zippy took third.
In the Preliminary Dressage Test category, Eshaan Sundaram claimed first place riding Tina from EIRS. G. Shushruta Kumar followed closely in second place with XI from EIRS. Bhargav Babu Velkur finished third with Vadim from EIRS. These young athletes demonstrated exceptional skills in their respective categories.
Show jumping events were also a highlight at the games. In the 80 CM Show Jumping category, G. Shushruta Kumar excelled with Felotti from EIRS taking first place. Diego Marren on Theo from EIRS secured second position, while Zoya Shanavaz riding Tara from EIRS came in third.
The 90-100 CM Show Jumping event saw fierce competition as well. Eshaan Sundaram achieved first place with Azlan Z from EIRS. Arnav Navaratna took second place riding Roxette from Zippy, and Siddharth Nanda finished third on Mabel from EIRS.
This inaugural inclusion of equestrian sports in the State Mini Games was a significant step forward for young riders in Karnataka. The successful hosting of these events highlighted the growing interest and talent in equestrian disciplines among youth in the region.
