Scottie Scheffler enters the final round of the Cadillac Championship chasing Cameron Young, who holds a clear advantage at Doral’s Blue Monster Course. Young sits at 15 under and leads by six strokes, while Scheffler, Kim Si-woo and Kristoffer Reitan share second place.
Young built that cushion with strong play over the opening two days, then protected it with a controlled third round. Young posted a two-under 70 on Saturday, while Scheffler reduced the gap slightly with a three-under 69 to gain one shot on the leader.
Scheffler has recent experience of chasing Young over 72 holes, after finishing ahead of Young in the last round at the Masters. Scheffler outscored Young by five shots there on day four and climbed into second place behind Rory
McIlroy, a result that offers some reference for this latest pursuit.
Scheffler stressed that Young’s position gives the leader control going into the closing round, and set out a simple approach. Scheffler said: "The tournament is in his hands right now. I can go out and have a really good round, and if he has another really good round, he's going to be a tough guy to catch. All I can do is go out and try and have a great round and see where that leaves me. "
The final round schedule on 3 May 2026 has already been moved earlier as organisers monitor heavy rain forecasts. More than an inch of rain is expected at Doral, and officials hope the earlier start reduces disruption. Conditions could affect scoring and course set-up, adding another layer of uncertainty beneath Young’s six-shot lead.

The combination of Young’s advantage, Scheffler’s chasing form and the forecast rain sets up a tense final day. Young can secure victory with another solid round from the front, while Scheffler, Kim Si-woo and Kristoffer Reitan need low scores and help from the leader for the standings to tighten.
